Our kids do 'giant weaving' on the wire fence at the front of school with strips from coloured plastic bags! Great fun.
Enjoy your course... and keep telling us all about it. |

I thought it was about time, six weeks into the course, that I showed you the fruits of my labours  Please bear in mind, these are not finished pieces - I'm not even sure what I am going to do with most of them (yet). The course is really to give you a taster of various fabric techniques.
We still have embellishing, hand embroidery and fusing/burning to go. One thing I do know - weaving is not for me, but I do like wet felting (which sounds like an admission of a deviant practice. Maybe it is - haha) It's all on my blog if anyway wants a look. Deb

Thanks Annie. Felted dreads - what a great idea! They look great on you. I fear I couldn't get away with them though :-)

I've posted the fruits of my labours on the textile course on my blog. A fabric book cover and an embellished seascape that still needs a frame (I'm working on one made from Amazon packaging and acrylic paint - fingers crossed it works). I'm not 1005 happy with either but they are not bad for a textiles newbie.

ohhh how wonderful, have fun, I would love to do something like that.
I have found out that I will be dis-placed in July and think I might go back to college if I can part time to do mixed media or graphic design. |
