You need to do it as an attachment Rachel. Reply to the thread using the "Post Reply" button rather than "quick reply" box and if you scroll down under the box where you're entering your message you'll see something called "Additional Options". In there is a button that says "Manage Attachements" - just click on that and then chose your picture from wherever you put it on your computer, click "upload" and it will include a clickable thumbnail in your message.
